Lovely earthy aromas with red cherry, rhubarb, and forest floor on the maturing palate with resolving tannins on the long finish. Still drinking beautifully!

Dark and red fruits with hints of dust. Medium, smooth finish. Not overly fruit. Drinking very well.

Rich for a Pinot. Tons of currant and spice. Absolutely delicious!

This is in a very good place, provided you are cool with the style. Like all the Schrader wines, this is made in a large scaled, bombastic, style and while it isn't a classic expression of pinot, it succeeds in being more undeniably delicious rather than varietally "correct".

Opening up nicely after 30 mins. Cassis, redcurrant. Nice sweetness. Really nice.

This reads very Sonoma Coast, with a profile of bright red fruit, a dose of orange citrus and a rich herbal quality that had a strong rosemary note. Made in a "Pinot for Cab drinkers" style, but done very well.

Filling in w/the Friday Brown Bag Group : Double blind. Cherry and floral notes with nutmeg and spice undertones. Cherry and soice on the palate with bright, racy acidity. Fresh and vibrant. Long finish. Guessed Sonoma Coast pinot.

Slightly cloudy garnet in color. This pretty immediately takes you to Thanksgiving, with black cherries & cranberries, orange zest and the whole spice rack on both the nose and the palate. There is a bit of earthiness, just to remind you you're drinking pinot and a slightly bitter licorice note. With the size of the wine it drinks a bit more tart than truly acidic. The finish lingers a lot more than I was prepared for. Given the immediacy of …

I wrote an earlier review of this wine, and then poof, the review is gone. Well tonight this wine brings the thunder. Almost as thunderous as Airwolf with Jan-Micheal Vincent. Holy sh$t! He's 71 years old?! This wine is jammy on the nose, and leans toward fuller body pinot. Pairs very well with crumbled Feta and Kalamata olives. Wonderful to sip while you wait on your wife's peanut butter cookies to come out of the oven. Are they done yet? …

The little bit of aging on this bottle benefitted it well, as this five year old PN drank deliciously with previously noted tartness mellowed out by Father Time. Could still use another couple of years, but the dark berry and floral notes were enjoyable now.

Light to medium ruby color. No flaws. No rim variation. No sediment. Absolutely classic pinot nose and flavors. No tannin/acid. Medium alcohol. Medium finish. Enjoyed just stand alone and out of the bottle. Certainly one of our favorite pinot noir. And very ready to drink. Plenty of bottle life left as well.

Aston Pinot Noir is very consistent: crimson in color, lite aromas of blueberry, red currant, strawberry jam and cinnamon; tastes of blueberry, red currant, cherry and hints of nutmeg. The body is medium/full with a polished texture and finishes very nicely... and a great wine that waltzed us with ease into a bottle of '08 Buccella Cuvee Katrina Eileen that was perfect with rib eyes.

This is not a delicate Pinot. Very satisfying, though. Rich, dark fruit on the palate. Mouth-filling, fruity finish. Nose of berry and anise.
