Popped this last night and decanted for about an hour. It was a bit reticent and unfolded slowly. Sandalwood notes were pervasive. Shy and restrained fruit. A bit tightly wound and fruit remained subdued throughout. I think this would have shined with pairing with food as it presented good structure. I was looking for a bit more honestly, but still this was solid overall.

I had been holding off on this one as Justin definitely makes wines for the longer haul. I was unable to exhibit further patience and was rewarded versus having drinker’s remorse. This was dazzling with dark and red fruit, great sandalwood notes and absolutely perfect weight and structure. I am so happy I have another one of these to experience and enjoy a bit further down the line. Not sure how much better this can get, but glad I get …
