Marco Sara Friuli Colli Orientali Frank

Fairly consistent with previous note from May 2022, but there's more funk and a distinct brett note. I happen to like brett, but this is a lot stronger than my previous note. I still like it, but with the higher level of brett, it's not as harmonious as last time. Still a very distinctive and fun wine.

PnP. A really interesting wine. Has a lot of dark berry, dark cherry fruit that's super fresh, but also has a tarry and earthy note that I normally associate with hotter areas of the Mediterranean. Has a lot of herbal notes as well. It has moderate tannins that have good grip in the finish. A different take from Loire Cab Franc.
