Decanted and drank over an hour. Pretty decent QPR if you're craving some Pauillac. Dark cherry, dark plum, blackberry notes with some slight graphite as well. Not the most complex Bordeaux, but enjoyable and didn't overpower the Indian food at Junoon. 89 points.

Cork was dried and crumbly, shedding fine debris despite careful removal. I'm attributing this to retailer neglect as bottle was stored and presented standing up, leading to a dried out cork. It sat in my cellar for just a day, next time I'd give it more time on its side. On the palate it’s classic Bordeaux flavors, but kind of all over the place right now—feels disjointed. Definitely not ready; I’d leave it alone for at least 5 years.

Gosh it’s blackcurrant herbal syrup. I’m not used to drinking young Bordeaux but I think this is very promising, in spite of being higher alcohol than I like, it has freshness, succulence. Exotic, hedonistic claret. I have no idea how this will age, it’s possibly not meant for that. 14.3% (is apparently the true level), cork.

If I were in a French bistro and this was offered by the glass, I would be wonderfully delighted! Deep purple garnet color. Rich and fragrant black fruit tones in the nose with hints of oak and cedar. Expressive black plum, soft oak, black cherry flavors. Medium tannins yet a rich mouth feel and finish. Well made.

Palate: Sour cherry, warming oak prickle, paprika-like spice, moderately grainy tannins; definitely finishes with a cayenne-like spiciness. Was a bit too warm on opening which may have dulled the taste. Poured into a decanter at a restaurant. Nice wine - just didn't sing at all - very subdued and could have been caused by the warm conditions. No score given - need to try a different bottle.

I popped and poured this one - to my regret. I'm sure it would have benefitted from decanting a few hours in advance. Lots of black currants and some leather and coffee in the nose. Needs a few more years in the cellar from, I think...

Bottles like this annoy me. This has a taste of rubber and also a fine powder in suspension. Too fine to settle as a sediment but there and dusty and drying on the palate. Why? Is this going through a stage of throwing a solid sediment or is it "falling apart" I don't know..?
