Exceeded expectations. Nice smooth cherry and wild berry flavors with some licorice and other savory flavors. Aged well past 6 years in the cellar with all the hard edges gone. Drink now or next couple of years.

Nose has something of the septic tank about it now. Soon disappears with a bit of air. Mouth now has dark fruit profile with liquorice and burnt sugar bitterness on the back. This is sweet. Could do with some more acidity. <side eye> Great with curry!

Decanted for an hour, and it needed it to transform an initial nose of barnyard funk. Developed into mix of cherry, basil, and some floral note. On the palate it was mouth filling cherry/berry, and mix of herbs with a little of the barnyard left.

Inky dark and somewhat muted on the nose at first. Then dark fruit, a touch of tar and fennel seed. It looks like a bruiser. Ah, harmony in the mouth. Sweet fruit, some burnt sugar and a herby back note. The texture is almost creamy, tannins velvet at first although building to a slight chalky residue over the first half of the bottle. This is a big step up from my normal Corbieres and a pleasure to taste.

Nose initially was rather green and woody, not especially pleasant, while the palate was harsh and tannic. However I did not decant the wine. It completely changed after an hour or so, revealing a lot more fruit, and was actually very tasty. I will definitely be decanting my remaining bottles! I suspect it may get a bit better with some cellar time, and my score could well go higher.

Volrode wijn met een uitbundig aroma van rood fruit en pittige kruiden. De smaak is vol, evenwichtig met zachte tannine en een aangename lichte eikenhouttoon. Zowel in geur als smaak prima in balans en van hoge kwaliteit.

Robe sombre grenat nez de kirsch impression de puissane qui s attenue en bouche. Finale ronde. Moins charmeur que la cuvee n 3 mais tres belle reussite. Pourra attendre
