Unfortunately a little past it’s prime. Darker in color, still very good. Tastes of honey and melon with nice finish. Still enjoyable, but drink it quick if u still have it.

p&p deep gold;roasted hazelnuts, cashews, almost smoky; buttered brioche, nut butter flavor and cardamon; grilled lemon slices on the finish. Very much a savory, mature profile but the structure is great- can't get this experience without age!

From a magnum. Opened for over 4 hours which definitely helped as it warmed slightly. I would say we drank this at 50-55 degrees. There is a muted Apricot fruit nose which reminds me of dried fruit. In mouth the wine is lively and acidic with tropical fruit dancing around a thin wafer covered shell. Mid palette of candy, some buttered popcorn, mango and citrus fruit. Long lingering finish of citrus fruits. The wine is a mature middle aged Chardonnay …

W mussels. Not ideal combination but i wanted a chard. Golden color (beautiful). Nose was very elegant and restraint, as it was on the palate, not this big powering chard. Great finish of elegant fruit and spices. Great wine that will live for quite a few years.

Had this with lobster at a local restaurant.....still quite fresh, more of a subtle wine, well balanced and softened with age......creamy baked apple, pear, citrus....very nice smoke and wax to it...to go along with the vanilla bean, toasted marshmallow, hazelnut spice. Has nice minerality and even some chalk dust. Tasty, drinking well!

The nose smells like a freshly baked apple pie. Smoky, with distinctly apple cider taste. Lingering finish of buttery pie crust, cinnamon, apples. But, it is time to drink it.

Amendment to last tasting note: After resting, this wine opened up with even more delightful nose notes of stone fruit, predominantly apricot, with pineapple and bursting flowery taste. The apple tones are still there, but complexity develops as the wine warms and notes of apricot, pineapple, pears, coconut, toasted almonds. Yum! Make sure not to drink this wine too chilled. Delightful mouth. Lingers on the palate with flowers and pineapple.

Golden color, beautiful nose of spice, tropical fruit and wood, this is a classic cali chard that is not overdone but has all the right elements of fruit, smoke, caramel and a super long finish. At peak now and likely to decline sooner than later.

- Yellow color with medium forming legs and aromas of cloves and geranium. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of hazelnut and hay/straw with a medium body. Oily texture with a medium finish - Color and nose are holding better than the fruit which displays some very slight oxidation. Our last bottle of this vineyard. Drink up.

Golden color but a bit hazy as it is apparent that it is an unfiltered wine...The nose was quite nice with flavors of tropical fruit and caramel. The wine is still excellent and I disagree that it is on its decline. The group thought it was drinking beautifully with excellent fruit, good acidity and a long, mouthcoating finish. That said, I doubt it gets a lot better and probably time to drink up.

A bit past its peak, but still very good. Needed a about 30 minutes to come together, but good structure gives way to medium fruit, some lemon and hazelnut but finish is a little vanilla caramel.

It's not that I like this better than the last bottle---maybe I do-- but this is the last of two and I am regretful that I did not buy more on the offering. This bottle had considerable sediment and a pineapple color--entirely appropriate given the loads of pineapple on the nose, along with lemon and other citrus notes. Great mouthfeel with flavors modeling the nose along with crushed white stone and floral flavors and balanced acidity. Extremely long finish that …

Every time a new offering comes in I ask myself if I want to spend $75 on a California Chardonnay. I look at Parker and at Tanzer and generally decide to buy some but not all of what is offered. Ended up with two bottles of this and am not disappointed at all. This wine has a great nose: citrus, pineapple, some vanilla and other scents I am too slow and dull to recognize. In the mouth it has all …

lacked the crispness i would ordinarily expect, and have enjoyed from the other vineyards in this vintage. this was more of a butterbomb oak slug, albeit still a neat package. my evaluation is a look within the family, not other producers. missing the expansive expression of fruit.
