interesting, dark purple with small light bubbles. nose of blueberry. dry mouth with more berry and the tickle of carbonation. not my cup of tea.

Definitely the best (of 3!) sparkling shiraz I've ever had. Pretty much tasted exactly like red spicy wine with bubbles. A touch of sweetness perceived too, made it a fun, if rather odd, apertif. I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for sparkling shiraz, but how many people would that be?

Color: Dark ruby. (red 'head' looks amazing being poured!). Nose: Couldn't get much off the nose in a flute, so switched to a big wine glass. Then I got aromas of black cherries, black pepper, and a whiff of lavender, along with a whiff of tar. On the palate...the bubbles are nice but fade quickly. Big red fruit explosion, then tobacco, pepper/spice, leather and tar. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy but not heavy. A hint of residual sugar but not …

Tasted amazing, then bad, then pretty good. Drank while watching KU-UNC Final Four game which was amaizing, then bad, then pretty good. Therefore, I'm going to refrain from scoring this. The night was too emotional too really get into the wine.

Gorgeous bubbles. What knocks me down about this wine is the beautiful transition from the main body mid-palate to the fine finale, so polished, elegant and seductive finish.

The best Sparkling Shiraz I've had. It's almost dessert wine like, but not quite so sweet. Great mouthfeel.

Having just recently discovered sparkling shiraz at a recent tasting, we have fallen in love with it. We particularly like the Majella having tried several others. While I consider this type of wine to be fun and whimsical, the Majella has a rich sophistication bonus. I find that the wine has a fairly uninteresting nose, with a hint of alchohol. The bubbles excite the palate without being "fizzy". The taste is somewhat bold and slightly fruitfull. That being said, I …

Beautiful, beautiful ruby red color, almost blood-like, with abundant and sparkling bubbles. Evolving nose that kept unfolding and getting better with time after opening, with clear vanilla, strawberries and cinnamon scents. Tingling entrance in mouth with beautiful transition to refinement, fruit juice on the mid-palate, and all very subtle and round, leading to a very elegant finish with traces from fruit to spices. Very pleasing mouthfeel from start to finish, plus the bouquet so refined and outstanding from any other …

One of the better Sparkling Shiraz I'v had, best way to discribe this wine is it's much like a very well made Coonawarra Shiraz with bubbles and a yeasty, bretty character to it. from my limited experiance with these wines, people with a dislike for brett should stay away from Sparkling Shiraz.

A great old fashioned Aussie wine style, becoming popular here now. (Hopefully not too popular, so I can keep finding it.) Great with food, or for sipping. Not too sweet. Took this to a tasting, and it got big ups! Huge reviews. Radiant nose of strawberries, vanilla, dark cinnamon - but not artificial. Very smooth. On the palate, incredible dark fruit, mushroom, some vanilla. Finish lasts and lasts. Very refined - highly recommended.

Drank Brian1970's bottle at the last wine tasting :). Fantastic stuff. Black cherry nose, with flavors of oak, black cherry, and a hint of mushroom. Excellent following a big bite of strawberries.

Absolutely ridiculously amazing. This is a fantastic wine. Great fruit and structure, flawless integrated bubbles. I want this at my wedding.

Sausages and Champagne (plus a couple of reds) (Allan and Nora's (Hong Kong)) : Better than expected but still weird. Shiraz elements came through but the mousse was fine a lifted it. Not my cup of tea.

a bit sweet, very Lambrusco like, very nice paring with the BBQ Baby Back Ribs. Very fizzy, round fruit light on the acid
