Sight: clear, no visible faults (a clear Beaujolais!), and medium ruby/garnet in color - can see a bit of age, but not brown yet. Nose: what pops out first is the stemmy-greeness, crushed granite, dried cranberry, dried violets, ripe strawberry, dried rose petals, underripe cherry, graphite/potting soil. Palate: Medium plus bodied, medium plus tannins, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, long finish, and very structured. Really bright purply fruit to it. A bit darker than expected, maybe a bit of raisin fruit to it? And then very tart and tangy on the palate. That is really not fun on the palate.
