Tasted at the winery. Very aromatic nose, showing a beautiful mix of golden orchard fruit, mixed with honey notes and floral qualities. Closer to full bodied than the 2015 Wiemer Riesling Noble Select Magdalena (8.5% ABV) with an intense mix of golden peach, pineapple and orange/mango. The mid-body has more depth than the Noble Select Magdalena as well as slightly more complexity. Prior bottle was a bit over 18 months ago and this wine continues to evolve positively. Peach, orchard fruits, passion fruit and a honey quality on the nose. Medium bodied and actually needed almost two hours open to fully reveal itself. Tasted at the winery. Orchard fruit on the nose, which overall was slightly less pronounced than the Magdalena or the Dry Reserve Riesling. Apple and pear upfront, along with varied other orchard fruit notes in the background. Pure joy. The best Riesling I've had and I live in Germany... I have 2 2005 JJ Prums in my cellar, but this Finger Lakes wine was elegant. Well done! A beautiful wine.

Nice color. The nose shows lean aromas of citrus peel, orange blossom, minerals, white flowers and a hint of peach. This is medium light bodied on the palate with very good concentration and real class. The medium plus length finish features a strong mineral element.

My clear favorite tastings at the winery, yet was not as big a fan at home. The Mrs loved it at home, but was not as big a fan at the winery. Very interesting! The bottle we had at home struck me with a pretty full mouthfeel, very floral, slightly bitter minerality. The bitterness was less pronounced on night 2 for me, and I liked it quite a bit more.
