Not ready on opening- lost slight funk with an hour in decanter and continued to improve. Deep purple fruit with cherry dominant over tobacco and pepper. Very nice, not extraordinary.

I don't recall if this was Sarah's first or second vintage, but this was a great early wine from this upstart. Rich black fruits with an intriguing gamy meatiness, this might be slightly hollow in the middle but ends with a complex finish showing both ripeness and bitterness in interesting juxtaposition. Enjoyed over several hours. I like this more today than when last tasted 6 years ago. Brava, Sarah!

Black cherry, plum and cassis with sweet spice. Finishes with a slightly sweet note, perhaps from new oak. Good depth and concentration, just not the same stuffing as this same wine from other vintages.

Decanted over cocktails and served. Fine, delicate Cabernet with floral notes among the dark fruit. A touch of citrus pulp. A very well-made wine in a challenging year and a treat to try one of the very few bottles made.

Black currant and cassis aromas with spice. Similar flavors with overall nice balance, just moderate depth and concentration that show the vintage's challenges. Overall well done.

Delicious red fruit dominated. An attach on opening tasted hides the fact that this was from a cooler vintage. A touch disjoint and a slightly shorter finish, keeps this from reaching the heights of the 2012, it's still and excellent wine. PDQ93+
