High neck fill. Perfect capsule and cork. Decanted and served. Clear deep dark blood-ruby. Lovely bouquet of crushed cranberries, red currants, leather, wood and dry earth. Similar on the palate -- pleasantly tart and mouthwatering. Bouquet and palate steadily improved over 90 minutes. Not especially nuanced or complex, but a beautiful example of this varietal.

Beautiful deep garnet to ruby, translucent, some transparency at the rim. Silky nose of red fruits, spice, earth. Somewhat hollow on the palate but what is there is sweet fruit and sweet earth and decent acidic and tannic structure. Finishes nicely. Tremendous for under $10.

Only took about 30 minutes to really open.. A bit "in your face" when first opened but afterwards mellowed nicely. Great legs, broad nose. A very good pizza wine.

For the price this is a nice wine. Medium body and very smooth with plum, cherry and a mild oak to round it out. Decent acidity and very mild tannins on the finish.

A very approachable wine. Pleasant round mouth-feel. Not very tannic. A decent value.

A little tired now. Not much fruit left and lighter in body than I would have expected.

Initially red cherry and earthy aroma. Palate is cherry, green vegitables and some slightly strong tannins that continue on through to a slightly bitter linger. After about an hour of decanting, It balanced out very well. The lingering tannins subsided and allowed the fruit to stay in the mouth for a good amount of time. Pretty smooth and balanced.
