The Return: The Monthly Big Group Comes Back (Ciao Bella, Mpls) : Brief note. Drank a glass blind over an hour. Nicely aged, well integrated, red currants, cranberry, blood meal, nice mineral and spice notes. Also clearly Burgundy - with a little age.

Very nice red burg, great match to mushroom risotto.

Decanted 1/2 hour. Open and generous on the palate, while still clearly an infant. Beautiful, complex aromas of red fruit, leather, earth, truffle and a slight, pleasant mustiness. Palate is open enough to enjoy, but still with more to give over few years. Drank along aide the 05.

Layered nose, spices, medium fruit and a beefy aroma that was quite pleasant. More tannic than expected. Long finish.

Savory nose with damp soil and mushroom. Red berries and smoke on the palate. Great NSG.

A lot of bottle variance from last notes. This showing was decidedly fruit forward and lacked the earthy NSG complexity.

Popped and Vinituri'ed. Medium to light ruby color. Nice NSG nose of dusty red fruit, gamey mushrooms. Nice bright red fruited attack but a bit light in the middle...still plenty of tannins though. There were some some nice iron notes on the finish. I think BH pretty much nailed this wine with his notes/score.
