In a simply amazingly good place right now. From magnum. Insanely good. Thrilling.

40분 이상 열어두고 마시니까 과일향이 좀 더 부드러워져서 적당히 마시기 좋음

d'Arenberg with Chester Osborn (Strand Cellars, Croydon) : blackberry and black currant, quite concentrated fruit with a little jubey underpin, touch of black pepper, cream and sweet spice. Medium plus intensity acidity, concentrated blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, loads of tannins which proves drying and floury textured. Finishes with a touch of slight sour red plum.

The nose is a bit shy for the first hour, just some spicy plums and roasted sweet bell pepper. More earthy spices and cocoa emerged as it sits in the glass. It is not in your face style, nice balance bet medium-bodied structure, acidity and tannins. The palate is quite spicy with rounded texture. Easy drinking. Ready with some decanting and this should age well for the next 2-3 years. But this is not made for extensive cellaring.

From magnum and still going strong. Much complexity here. Unfortunately, also has that Aussie thing of showing acidified.

Opened up beautifully. Strong tannins but subtle. Peppery shiraz. Great nose. Drinking superbly but still got some time left.

From magnum and in a great spot right now. Powerful in fruit but with secondary aromas. Still quite lively. Delicious. Will go longer.

Didn't mean to drink the magnum of 2005, was aiming for 2008. But here it is. Still does taste acidified to me on the back end but the lush fruit is still there, maybe dessicating out just a bit.

Vin tres acide! Heureux d'avoir bu la derniere

A wine lacking in subtlety, balance and finesse. Bold, fruit-forward flavors which have mellowed a little with age, but not my style at all. Similar to most wines from this stable (although the Ironstone Pressings wine is excellent).

Not decanted. Fruit is very red, cherry/pomegranate, typical McLaren Vale, floral, mostly feminine Shiraz notes with some pronounced bloody meat on the nose. Palate also has some of that meatiness, but yet is only medium-bodied, delicate, and uncomplicated in its red fruit character. Heat on the finish has integrated in last 30 months. It's an OK Shiraz, just a little boring.

Deep purple color; smokey, black current, light band-aid with a touch of sausage nose. Balanced mouth with a full, but smooth finish. Note: I have a tasting note on this wine from 4 years ago. This interval was beneficial for this wine. I'm loving this bottle.

Dark red hue still with a touch of purple. On the nose a sweet blackberry, blackcurrant and a hint of eucalyptus and sweet spice. Palate gave way to lush black fruit- balanced though not jammy. Nice tannins and a balancing acidity. Drinking perfectly now- a lovely Shiraz ! 89

This has developed into something quite sophisticated. Well-balanced, smooth rounded mouthfeel. A little raisiny but not too much. Dark fruits which are no longer brooding.

Typiquement australien, très confituré, nez, qui a ma surprise était fort en alcool, cela dissipait les arômes de fruits rouge. Quand même puissant en bouche, l'alcool bien présent. Les fruits rouges dominent, framboises, fraises.

Very nice wine. Lots of red fruit on the nose and a fruit driven palate although not overly jammy or porty. Probably peaking so drink up.

Initially quite sweet. After 2 days in the fridge it settled but never grew into anything special.

Decanted this bottle for several hours. It is a fruit forward wine, but not to sweet. Well integrated with a smooth full bodied finish.

Dark fruit and coffee in the nose. Fruit, soft tannins and à balanced acidity. Nice Friday wine when you aren't expecting much extra.
