Great Chardonnay from Domaine Faiveley. A bit young, but after 2 h it showed what will come with age. Sublime, elegant and some complexity. This is very good considering the price, approx 29 € (Sweden). Wait another 1 - 2 years before oppening this wine, and you will get awarded.

light gold colour in the glass. Fresh peach lemon beeswax aromas. Some oak comes through together with the fruit falling away in the middle and good acidity pulling throughout tasting. I found a long dry savoury finish. Solid mouthfeel - enjoyed more day 1 where the oak played a more significant role.

Loved this wine. Nice fruit and long, dry finish. The wine looks straw colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon, apple and peach blossom.

I liked it better today than the last time. Still oaky but a little less pronounced. More of the ripe lemony fruit to the fore. Acidity (medium+) still a little rough but really mouthwatering. Medium+ length. Should be even better after a few years in the cellar.

A little oaky but nice lemony fruit as well. The acidity is good but a little raw - but then this wine is young still. Medium length.

Pale gold in color and for a seven year old white it is light. No signs of premox here. Nose of mayflower, acacia, some almond, and sweet spice. A hint of flint is also present. Really, really bright on the palate. The attack is intense with pronounced acidity and full bodied. The finish is fresh with a touch of lemon rind. Reminded me a bit of Meursault.

Medium lemon colour. Medium intensity aromas of stone fruit (yellow nectarine), buttered toast, oak. On the palate it has medium acidity, medium plus length, medium plus body, medium plus alcohol. A good wine, well integrated, showing fruit, balanced oak. Should be good for at least five more years and might have some improvement to come too.

Elegance and subtlety are the hallmarks of this wine. Some mineral and spice add complexity. Unusual at this price point. Ultimately lacks the weight of a better (ie very expensive) burgundy but it's good regardless.

Very nice richness with a nice layer of mineral underneath; would like another year or two for this to soften and integrate some more.

Very nice white Burgundy with a somewhat flinty structure reminiscent of Chablis, but with a broad, fruity flavor suggestive of a Mâconnais. Light to medium body, very easy to drink. Rich nose of ripe peach. Delivers what one expects for the price.

The 2008 vintage was fresh, crispy, mineral in the nose, with hints to half-ripe yellow apples. The palate was well integrated, not too fruity but mineral, with already nicely smooth and velvety acidity; with a herbacious and bit pepperly after-taste. Ideal to pair with stronger creamy French cheeses, such as Chaumes.

Quite drinkable, but didn't enjoyed much.

On the nose a bit of salt and some lemon, also some oak, but nicely integrated. The palette is broad, but comes up a bit short, finishing a tad acidic. Overall very good wine for the money.

Soft with mild citrus flavors that slowly build in the glass. I would suggest to decant to get this wine to open and show some of the copmplexity and character it has.... for the price.

Masterclass - Domaine Faiveley with Master of Wine, Lisa Perotti-Brown (St-Regis Hotel) : Soft mineral nose with hint of smokiness, green herb with no sign of fruits that is also sharp, Sauvignon Blanc like palate with it's grassy profile along with rubbery & cream custard finish. This is a mineral juice that has a hint of fruits. A Mercurey tasted like Sauvignon Blanc? Hmm... To me, this is not a well-made wine. Buy - No.

Paid $23. Opened last night, tasting note here based on the wine being open 24 hours. I have had a nice string of white burg recently, this one is not to those standards. Granted, this is not GC, not 1er and my experiences with white burg, while improving are not from an experienced perspective. That said, calling this wine as I see it, kind of weak really. Kind of a flat aromatic, maybe a little oak. Texturally, medium weighted with …
