Yes, yes, yes. This was a delicious bottle; balanced, complex, intriguing. What a joy, and a memorable experience. Dried cherries, velvet texture, long finish. This would be a case buy (for regular drinking), if I could get it for the $50 I paid for it. Impressive!

WOW! Amazing fresh, dense and voluptuous red fruit layered and integrated with darker berries and forest floor. The aromas couldn’t be cleaner and more resonating. There’s an unmistakable balance of acidity and fine, silky, yet powerful tannins leather tobacco blackberry chocolate earthy plum black cherry smoke black fruit licorice blackcurrant fig which create a very linear composition and, together draw you back for more. Long persistent finish.Decant 30 minutes-1 hour if opening now. Most impressive. 97 pts +.

Drank at Ocean Prime with friends. Classic flavors but you need to let this open for at least an hour.

In a great spot right now. Nicely integrated. Will drink well over the next few years but really hitting its stride. Tannins are now in balance.

Bottle open one hour before lunch. Cork in perfect condition. Meaty, iron ore, slate mineral and coal dust, red liquorice, sweet spice notes, also cornucopia of red and black berries soaked in yoghurt. Complexity quite accurately. On the palate it is less delicious although retains a silky mouthfeel and a watery texture with sufficient acidity. Not very long but like all Taurasi, ready to accompany solid food. Without a doubt one of the best aglianico I have drunk in its …

At the winery: Old 40 y.o. vines, 40 mo. in barrique only; smells a bit like the inside of a barrel, pie crust, blueberry/blackberry pie, cocoa, plum, touch sweet. Very smooth, rich, front end tannins; very big new-world style modern Taurasi. not a fan. The Radici Riserva '09 blows it away IMHO.
