(13 % alcohol) NOSE: Crisp, clean flowers and tropical fruits. Actually reminds me of a cross between a clean Alsace Gewürztraminer (think Hugel) and an Alsace Riesling. White flowers, lychee, white peach, a little mango. Ripe sweet lemon. TASTE: Fresh, clean tropical white fruits. Medium to medium rich body with some waxiness. Slight salinity. Nose has a mix of citrus, peach, wax, floral - honeysuckle. And a mineral note, even in the nose. Palate intense mineral extract, good acid, floral and citrus and unripe stone fruit. Tons of wax. This brings the best of some of my favorite grapes - the floral and aromatic of Gewurz or Viognier, the waxy, mineral texture of semillon, the acid and citrus of great sauvignon blanc. Another really lovely vintage for this wine which is very consistent. Gold with hints of green as it sits in the glass. Lots of salty citrus, fresh herbs, flowers, a touch of mango and a lovely mineral streak on the charming nose. The palate shows beautiful weight and texture with good fruit definition and top notch acidity through the elegant and poised finish. Drink now and over the next 6-12 months. Another winner from Alpha Estate.

Unique and unexpected, in a good way. Apple, citrus, and floral aromatics. Max notes something on the palate that borders on astringent but isn't unpleasantly so. A note of salinity on the finish that ultimately becomes dominant. We had it with seafood, but would pair it next time with something with more herbal flavors.

Greece’s answer to rose and really once we have discovers this variety ( also the Gerovassiliou Single Vineyard one) this is a go to choice where we would otherwise have gone with a rose . Soft, elegant yet playful , floral very aromatic and with a citrus finish and good acidity to keep the wine in balance. Solid 90 and very good

Pretty and floral wine, playful nose , citrus and floral blend. Bright acidity and a very much a summery wine. A touch more of semillon edge on this on the palate and it’s almost a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and semillon with a floral twist if we had to put it in international varieties. Solid 89

Light straw. Austere initially gets more perfumed with some aeration and really expressive the second day,where the nose becomes more fruity and slightly flowery. Good depth in the mid palate but not sweet despite the high alcohol (13.5%). Some minerality helps and balances the sweetness. Good length.

By the glass at Pasagi, Athens from what we believe was freshly opened bottle. Fresh and floral and with a firmer less playful side than other bottlings. Maybe a touch more mineral too than we remember and albeit we always feel malagousia of a summer wine ( we felt this with this wine a few months ago) this time it felt more focused and structured. A summery and happy wine and Malagousia for us is the replacement of rose for the Greek summers. Floral, playful but also serious and not confectionery (while most rose wines are) pretty and light. Very refreshing and makes for happy drinking. And Angelos Iatrides here makes a great example that could well rival the master of Malagousia that is Vangelis Gerovassiliou . 89 but a very good 89
