Feiring. Elegant lukt med sultanrosiner, te, krydder. Feit fin smak med aprikos, Appelsinskall. Flott flaske. Søt lakris.

FTLOP 16th Anniversary Tasting; 7/23/2021-7/24/2021 (Seattle, Washington) : Bottled in 2006. Amber-orange in color with straw yellow on the edges. Fresh tropical fruit notes of pineapple and banana on the nose. Great acidity on the palate with refreshing caramel, maple syrup, and white peach. Nice long finish with a touch of lime.

Sammamish Tasting - October 2020 (Sammamish, Washington) : A touch of mustiness on the nose. Rich, full-bodied with tropical fruit and some spirit. Really great acidity, and a nice long finish. A little bit of astringency mars the finish slightly, but overall a great bottle.

I didn't think too much of this wine. I found it one-dimensional with slightly syrupy dried gold fruit and just a hint of rancio. I haven't drunk many white ports. This one reminded me of the Rare Wine Co. Baltimore Rainwater Madeira, which has a similar gold color and gold fruit flavors. Tried at Slanted Door SF.

A private lunch (Taberna do Mercado, London, UK) : Identical to my previous note. Such a wonderful white Port, I just couldn't resist having this again. The combination of elegance and intensity, of fruit and nut is just stunning.

A private lunch (Taberna do Mercado, London, UK) : Beautiful rich amber gold, hint of green in the rim; nutty and woodsy nose, salty, rich candied fruit, concentrated and deep, resembles an old Scotch but sweeter; the palate is medium-sweet, rich and full for a 40 year old Colheita, juicy and lively, with salty concentration, balanced and fresh and without any signs of fatigue; complete finish, lovely length. Remarkable.

Ble lite notater. Litt skuffa, god men ikke fantastisk, litt mye lim og lakk
