Very light perfume of flowers and hard to pick out specific scents. Tart, on the verge of puckering, with red currant and herbs. A lengthy, slightly earthy finish.

bright tart fruit nose along with a touch of cinnamon- interesting. lots of delicious fruit left - almost showing no age - ripe raspberries and blueberries with a deep profound finish - warm, acidic, long. Excellent wine and bargain

This is just delicious. Red berries, delineated but not lean, violets and sous bois. Very fine tannins and quite balanced. There’s no need to wait with this one.

Very much a 2011, underrated I think. High acidity, not powerful, though precise and detailed. Autumnal character, dried red fruit and woodsmoke, mushrooms, brown leaves. Wants to pair with food. Really enjoyable, provided you're up for a wine that reminds you of diving into a pile of raked leaves on a cool day.

I did not leave a note on a bottle consumed 5 years ago but my memory was that I though it was closed. No longer so. Translucent red. Red bery fruit on the nose (raspberry and cherry) with a bit of coffee, chocolate, earth and spice. Fine grained and juicy. Salt, leather and earth on the back. Really really good for $38 from Burgundy.

Coravin. Light-medium ruby; nose has medium intensity aromatics, dark red cherry fruit, charcoal, slight gamey spice; palate is light to medium bodied, ripe cherry, youthful light tannins, medium to medium-plus acidity; short-medium finish. I would agree with good, not great, a bit on the denser side for burgundy. Not a bad value, but doesn't fit my preferred flavor profile. 87 Next glass: more elegant, balanced, good red fruit. never developed into anything particularly nice over the course of 2 days. maybe this will improve with time.. my experience with 2011 red burgundy not terribly promising thus far.

Sampled this exact same wine from two different bottles in a Pinot class tonight. The first bottle was a nice, light, young Burg - cherry, strawberry, baking spice, menthol, licorice; good texture, decent complexity, long tart finish. But the second bottle was much better - darker fruit (black cherry, blackberry), earthier, fuller bodied, nicer mouthfeel. Interesting bottle variation. Rating is for the second bottle. Will definitely track down a couple bottles to age a few years.

Pretty red crimson color; slight woodsy note of '11 vintage but overall silky texture, fresh red cherry, clean, focused and delightfully balanced; very tasty.

A vibrant and relatively vivid nose of ripe cherry and cranberry with bits of plum, wet stone, graphite, white pepper and soil tones. Long finish with a notably crunchy texture and ending with well positioned ripe tannin. Lots of potential for development.

Ruby red, a bit tighter than the village '11 tasted before. Nose of fruits, leather, better balanced, more fruit and some smoke. Palate is made of kiwi and blackcurrant in a powerful and full, balanced experience. Good! 50+5+11+14+8 (88p)

intense nose of cinnamon and clove. tight bright red fruits present, high acidity, and a very nice drink that paired wonderfully with steak au poivre. a lightweight but it still packs a really nice punch.

Has the Savigny profile, so at least it has that going for it. The lighter toned red fruit with those mineral, saucisson, and leather notes you'd expect, just without the depth or class of really worthwhile examples.

Peter Bourne - Pinot Noir tasting (8 Danks street, Sydney) : Medium minus intensity aromas of charcuterie, red berry, slight funky notes. In the mouth there is medium plus acidity with flavours of red currant and unripe raspberry, chewy tannins, the wine gains a little breadth in the mouth over time. Hmm.

Lovely nose of strawberry and flowers. Ripe but balanced, notes of red fruit, coarse tannins and medium length. Very nice!

I've yet to have a Pavelot that blew me away, but this came closest. More finesse than the 2010s I tried, less burly as well. This could be a feature of Guettes, but I definitely preferred this to even the 2010 Guettes. Nice wine.

Klar, dyp rød. Ung, floral nese med mørke bringebær. Transprarent og slank frukt. Klar og lett med preg av mørke, røde bær. Frisk syre. Milde tanniner i finish. Fruktig utgang. Fin lengde.
