Bright red cherries and baking spices on the nose. This continues on the palate. There is a hint of both orange peel and cola. The acidity and tannins are both very soft, but the wine is very simple in its structure and finish. Not as complex as previous vintages of En Route, but still enjoyable. 90 points.

Les Pommiers refers to the apple trees that once graced the vineyard. 30 min decant in Jospehine No. 3 glasses seemed sufficient. Lush Pinot Noir with beautiful red fuits (cassis, red currants), silky tannins, limited oak notes, and hints of tobacco and marzipan. Liked this a lot! Suckling rated 94p.

Chicken in mushroom sauce with Brussels sprouts and barley. The wine was excellent with the meal and after. Medium body, long-lasting finish

The Wines of Far Niente (Haskell's Minnetonka) (Haskell's, Minnetonka) : Good thing I took a photo of all the wines. This was terrible. Alcohol, dirt, easter egg dye, lacks fruit and spice. They should not be in the Pinot Noir business. People on my left and right hated this at this industry event.

My go to cola Pinot! Bing cherry, cola + wine on steroids, probably not a Pinot geeks pino, but it fit the bill perfectly tonight. A almost too correct example of Pinot as expected from far neat(sp), consistent. Drink now or cellar.

I really like this. Very well balanced and smooth. Could see it being a tad sweet compared to French versions of Pinot noir. Bright ruby color. Vibrant nose of strawberry, raspberry, a touch of orange and smoked cedar. Bramble and raspberry rule the palate with notes of cherry, strawberry and cedar. Long matching finish.

Pleasant to the point of swallow, which aint easy to do without making a face. Thick, cloyingly sweet, super-extracted and hot. Goes down a slow drip like cola syrup and a shot of vodka (14.5% ABV here). Showy, medicinal, candied, makes you smack your lips like the hard part is over. PS: Is this Port?

I shared a bottle of this with a colleague at an Indianapolis venue, Modita. Asian fusion fare. This paired well with the sweet and spicy, pork and tuna. It could have used a long decant. Downside of ordering wine at a restaurant. I would not spend a lot on this.

Delicious, dark fruit, a little velvety on the palate. Well balanced.

Concentrated ripe strawberries with grindy acidity and a dollop of sweet oak. This is definitely a food wine that would go great with classic American fare. Unfortunately, all I had were chips on hand and that was not enough to neutralize this wine's wild side.

Our least favorite EnRoute Pinot. We have enjoyed previous vintages but the 2019 left us both saying "meh" and thankful we only bought one bottle. It's not bad, but it's nothing special either. For what it's worth, it paired well with grilled salmon.
