Medium to dark garnet colour. Red and dark fruit, black currant, bell pepper, cedar, leather, cigar tobacco, and spices, with pronounced acidity, partly resolved tannin, and average to short length of the dry and lightly bitter finish. Average concentration and complexity. Classic Médoc profile, but angular and unrewarding, unfortunately.

Ummmmm, found this in the cellar. Had ZERO expectation and was pleasantly surprised. Not the best (or even in the same universe) as a good BDX, but all in all not only drinkable, but even enjoyable. “Tastes like a Bordeaux”. A little cedar and wet earth on the nose. Simple body, good color and clarity. All in all not bad. Had with a simple cassoulet.

An interesting wine. It had licorice notes at first, but as it breathed a bit more, it mellowed and had fullness of body and good length on the palate. Served with lamb. A solid wine.
