Didn't offer much interest for me. Seemed like a generic, well-made red table wine with some oak and astringency in the finish. Not bad, just not memorable.

Good QPR. Thought I was drinking a Spanish wine. Has earthiness and some oak to balance the robust red and blue fruit. Medium to full body with restrained but firm tannins. Long finish.

60/25/15 Tempranillo/Graciano/Grenache. Some new American oak in the Tempranillo, otherwise French. Interesting nose, kinda Old/New world mix. Didn't taste.

Had at e2 at the suggestion of the sommelier. Complex nose of dark red fruits, earth, baking spices, and flowers. The wine itself was medium bodied with some nice acidity to pair well with the spicy nawlins dishes we had (boudin, andouille, portuguese stew). The palate featured black cherry, current, cooked spiced plum, oak, earth, dark baking spices, and a distinctly savory component I can't quite put my finger on - fire roasted tomatoes maybe? Who knows. Lots of flavors …
