Le Cap Maritime Chardonnay

Medium lemon colour. Rich oak nose - slight butter note along with a touch of cinnamon. Lovely round mouthfeel. Rich taste - pastry, lemon curd and a bit of cinnamon. Fairly big wine with a bit of a bite at the end. Enjoyable but possible needs a bit more time to settle.

Medium lemon colour. Pronounced and developing nose with ripe yellow apples, ripe peach, smoke, charred wood, butter, roasted walnuts and wet stone. Pronounced taste of ripe yellow apples, ripe peach, ripe lemon, smoke, charred wood, butter, roasted walnuts and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good South African Chardonnay. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well with cheeses, fish or shellfish.

Medium gold in colour with translucent rimming and some legs. Fruit forward with prominent oak influence on the nose - Green apples, salted butter, limes, pears, lemons, and pineapples. The oak is quite powerful here. Medium plus bodied with strong upfront oak on the palate. Buttery popcorn, a bit of smoke, grapefruits, and lemon zests. Decently long finish, but this is one-dimensional, lacks complexity, and is heavily oaked.
