The first glass was quite evolved both at the color, more than garnet it seemed orange, and the nose, with quite mature fruits, sweet spices, herbs. Then with a glass change the mature fruits seemed less mature and it stabilized on a quite pleasant nose. The palate had still very strong tannins and high acidity, with a quite long finish. Good but in a difficult state right now, when nose and palate are not harmonized.

Nicely open right from the start, tar, smoke, good supporting tannins, fairly good for the price.

14% alcohol. Translucent ruby red color with some developed bricking and a wide, colorless rim. The nose is expressive, complex and pleasantly funky with aromas of sweaty horse saddle, some wizened red cherries, a little bit of barnyard, light smoky phenolic tones, a hint of ripe dark fruits, a leathery touch of lambic beer and a whiff of lifted volatile character.
