Tobias Feiden Winninger Spätburgunder Marbleous

Stood up for a week. Decanted but almost no sediment. Now 1h after decant. Almost no aromas despite vigorous swirling. Palate w tart cranberries, mild bark, some herbs and a bit of earth. Medium body w excellent acids and mild tannins. Elegant mouthfeel. Nice finish of brown stems, cranberries, minerals. I suspect that this is a bit shut down. Not giving much on nose and the palate is also somewhat mute. I like it but I think several more years …

Strawberry and earth on the nose. On the palate, strawberry, cherry, and notes of clove and something citrusy on the medium finish, with moderate tannins and good acidity. This was a good value at just over $40.

Earth, pine and red fruits on the nose. More earth on the palate along with red fruits and a mildly savory character from the tannins. It also has decent acid, so it should match well with a variety of foods. In general I find this wine very subtle, and it seems like it should age with grace. Excellent.
