Interesting blend of 50% tannat and 50% merlot (causing it to be down-classified out of the tannat AOC). I think this blend has more depth of flavor and roundness than the last true tannat that I had, showing lots of lush black fruits and good depth. Certainly great QPR in that $20 range.

Great QPR on this gem. There is plenty of black fruit along with tertiary notes reflecting bottle age. The tannins are silky and the finish is smooth and long. Drinking great now and could go a few more years in the cellar. Happy to have a few more bottles.

Purple blackish opaque color. Dark fruits, plum, and herbs on nose. Dusty, smokey, dark fruits, plum taste. Full body. Can drink now. I expect it will improve over the next few years. My score is based on wine now.

Firm and expressive bouquet with red fruits like strawberries and licorice. On the palate a lot of firm tastes like black as well as red fruits, a good bit of sweetness and some lactic impressions. Firm amount of bitterness still. Very juicy. Not extremely complex, but certainly a mouth full of good wine with a firm bite. This was my last bottle, but I would not mind drinking this again 2 - 3 years from now.

Liquorice and red fruits nose, long on the palate with plenty of structure in the tannins and acid. Yet a little hot and not more than the sum of its parts - not harmonious.

No specific notes. Less impressive than at the tasting when I bought it. Ripe fruits and not extremely complex.

Ripe berry fruit. Smooth tannins benefited from beef stew - 15% alcohol slightly evident on the palate.

UWS; A mixed set of wines from Italy and France (@ JB) : Sweet bouquet with cherries and leather. Same on the palate. Juicy wine with good herbs and spices as well as pleasant bitterness. Not much refinement, but certainly full bodied.
