Nicely balanced. Red and black cherry flavors with a bit of black olive and a touch of vanilla. Drinking beautifully at this point in its development.

Recommended by Laurent Chapuis at Princeton Corkscrew, from a great year in Rhone Valley. Uncorked for about an hour before drinking with Ed and Norma at Ferry House. This wine was mouthfiling, dense and I think still capable of opening up to more complexity. Possibly need to decant and let sit longer. Could be a good candidate for cellar. I was looking for a purchase wine and tasted this against a Chinon, also highly recommended by Laurent (Patrice Gasnier Vieilles …

Medium bodied with cherry and currant flavors with a touch of minerality. Nice - we'll see how the other bottles develop.

This is a blend of 60% grenache, 35% syrah and 5% very old cinsault. The nose is quite subtly floral with black fruits and a very nice herbal character. Vey good palate. This is very easy and appealing initially, then it really fills the mouthwith deep, rich, spicy black fruit with a gentle tannic backbone.
