Initially, I was going to just say popped, poured, and puked. However, I let is stand for an hour or two and it was drinkable. Not something at this point to write home about. Might use the rest of the bottle for cooking a pasta sauce and maybe a glass.

I bought 6 bottles from Costco based on the tasting notes and I was sorely dissappointed. I was expecting a medium body, decent cab. This wine was weird and I don't know what all the hoopla in all the other reviews I read were about. The nose is overpowering with pencil lead. Not pleasant. I opened a second bottle to see if it was off, they were both the same.

I will truly miss this 07. I have drank the last of 16 bottles and I still to this date have never had a 10 dollar bottle that I enjoyed as I did with this one. The 08 was a huge disappointment for me because it lacked everything that I loved about the 07. Fortunately the 09 has been released and I have one on the way to try. My fingers are crossed. This was a very earthy wine. It …

Always solid, with good Chilean cab characteristics.

Decent, fruit forward wine with a moderate finish. Fairly smooth with no bite or heat. Does not need food. A good value at $8.

Very nice Chilean cab for $8 at Costco, too bad they have no more.

An ok wine, but a little bit of an unusual taste and smell.

Try this one for an inexpensive party pleaser. Nice, fruit forward, low tannins, low acidity, ripe and ready to drink. Probably will not improve with age, but nice now. We have gone through over 300 bottles in the last 3 years, mostly consistent in taste, but every now and then a flyer.

Nice acidity, black currant, black pepper, little oak, firm tannins. Quite a nice blackened burger or meat pizza accompaniment. Have quite enjoyed for a year now.

Vegetables huge on nose and palate. light body and tannins. Strong notes of black pepper with a hot short finish. (1 hour later) change my rating of 84 to 87, getting some nice mocha and vanilla, this is really smoothing out, NICE

Fruuity, decent body, virtually no tannin taste. A good party wine at a mosest cost.

I Venturi decanted this bottle for 1hr. It was much better that the last bottle I had. Nice earthy Chilean Cab. with some complexity. It was quite enjoyable. I would buy more if I can find it at about $7.00. Good QPR at that price.

Fruity nose, but not overly so. Plums and cassis I guess. Smells nice. Tastes real nice, I could use more structure but this is a good deal in the 9-12 dollar range. Smooth, somewhat fruity up front with some spicy oak at the end that might be a little too much for people, but it is quite nice. I'd certainly rather have this than some Liberty School or J Lohr at several dollars more.

Italian prune plums peek through the layers of oak. Decent quaffer though for the price. 84pts.

Varietally correct, quaffable, unremarkable. Cheap Cab rarely blows my skirt up, so to speak and this was fine but nothing special about it.

Decent burger wine. The food needs to be more powerfully flavorful than the oak in the wine. Burgers measure this up well, and the wine helps break the indulgence of the burger. Nothing special though. 84pts.

Tons of cassis and a little oak on the nose. Some more cassis and dark cherry on the palate leading into an oaky finish with moderate tannins.

This bottle had almost no nose and thin flavors of pepper and oak. Not a good example of what Chile can produce..

Decent burger wine. A bit acidic and a little heavy handed in the oak department, but decent flavors of red cherries and blackberry. A tad thick fo my palate, so I just serve it up slightly more chilled than usual. 84pts.

Nose of sweet cassis and some green pepper. More of the same in the mouth, with some seriously astringent green pepper notes on the finish. Drier than the nose suggests. Perhaps it would be good for shish-ka-bobs, but I think I'll pass.

This one starts off with a very odd, vegetal bouquet- is modest and pleasant on the mid-palette and finishes with a bundle (too much) oak along with the precense of whatever it was that disturbed me on the bouquet. Tasted over 2 days, the last third was poured down the drain. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO DRINK BAD WINE.
