Besser als die letzte Flasche! Sie dürfte wirklich fehlerhaft gewesen sein. Goldene Farbe, relativ weit entwickelt. Guter Wein, typische SB-Töne in der Nase und am Gaumen. Gut, aber auch nichts Außergewöhnliches!

Schon die Farbe war verdächtig, leicht lachsfarbener Stich. Geruch noch sehr schön, aber geschmacklich vor allem eines: bitter, bitter, bitter. Ich hoffe, das war ein "untauglicher Versuch" (schleichender Kork?)

Typical styrian SB-note. Good fruit and not too much acid (which is the matter in 2017). I think it's like a mix of 2017 and 2016, very balanced. Not that much complexity, but well made and easy to drink

Steely, mineral driven (a lot of wet stone) with some white flowers and ripe tree fruit on the nose. Ripe pear, ripe yellow apple, orange peel, elderflower and a little nuttiness toward the finish on the palate. But overall very mineral driven. Medium + body with medium + acid. Rounded and an excellent pairing with sushi (a takeout Chirashi bowl)

Clean, pale lemon, lovely ripe peach, fresh cut grass, hay, grapefruit, med intensity. On the palate, high acidity, med alcohol, dry, med body (alcohol and maybe just a touch of RS), saline/mineral. Med (+) finish. Outstanding.

10cl sample btl. N: medium intensity, elegant herbaceous aromas plus clean slatey smells, with some ripe underlying fruit. P: quite palate-filling and broad, maybe even with some elevated alcohol. Some suggestions of sweet spice too, green fruits, underripe nectarine. Medium (+) finish. Decent.

Great Sauvignon Blanc, grassy, herbal, some gooseberries, perfect acicity, lots of weight and depth and the unique Sausal minerality. A lovely wine. Good now, but from experience this wine also holds well for a up to a decade. - 91 points

Classic Event Graz 2016: short note: By far the best Styrian Sauvignon blanc from vintage 2015 we tasted tonight; most top producers were only presenting barel samples though. Overall a dissapointing showing considering the hype of the vintage. Many wines are very vegetal and have lots of tartaric acidity - sometimes they did not seem fully ripe. They make some great summer wines, but that is just not my preferred style. This wine is superb however, as usual it has …
