To the nose, PLUM with blackberry and black cherry. There is some underbrush and slight vegetal. On the palate, blackberry and plum with slight black cherry. Leather is notable; no tobacco. No cola and minimal chocolate. Tannins are present in strands providing good structure. Medium length but less than medium mouthfeel. I knew this might be past peak and I think that is clear. Oh well!

Drinkable. Delivers what we were expecting. Paired nicely with a spicy Indian dish.

The wine was dark ruby, almost purple in colour and offered red fruit, plum, vegetal notes, anise, some chocolate, some coffee and herbal spice on the nose. On the palate the wine showed red fruit, vegetal notes, anise, some chocolate, some coffee and herbal spice, with medium-level acidity and tannin, a creamy mouthfeel and good length. The medium- to full-bodied wine had a soft texture and was reasonably balanced. O.K. considering the affordable price.

Can't say enough about this label....such a good, easy wine & the price is laughably low for the quality.

One of the night's hits. Nice, spicy overtones. Pepper. Good with chocolate and spicy foods.

Lighter bodied than some Carmenere's I have had. Lots of plum, hint of chocolate, toasty oak. Very drinkable.

The wine is clear and bright with a deep ruby colour and inky legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium(+) intensity aromas of black fruit (black currant, dark plums, blackberries), herbaceous (green bell pepper) and hints of oak (clove, cedar). The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium(+) fine-grained tannins and a medium(+) alcohol. It has a medium(+) body and pronounced intensity flavours of black fruit (black currant, dark plums, blackberries), herbaceous …

Not as good as previous years, but still a nice general wine. Try to drink this year asap, it is getting at the end.

One of my "go-to" reds; love that distinct Chilean character across the palate. Widely available and affordable; great QPR.

Not much to this. Thin, acidic aroma. Citrus and raspberry overtones, unrefined.

i bought this wine because it is viewed as a great value for the money. While it did taste better after it had breathed for about 30 minutes, it was a great value for the money. At first it was a little on the acidic side, but the second glass really mellowed out and offered a silky texture, well balanced wine. While not as complex as an expensive CA red, at $8.00/bottle it would easily be a party favorite, we …

Middle of the road at best. Good color and attractive berry nose but lacking any complexity, simple profile and flat red berry flavor.

Deep, dark purple wine with aromas of dark plum, chocolate and hints of coffee and toasty oak. On the palate, there are notes of dark plums and spice, generously framed by toasty American oak with a soft and well-structured mouth-filling texture. This wine has some nice berry notes, is fairly smooth, and has a bit of coffee on the finish. It opened up quite nicely on the second day, so give this one some time to breathe.

I have been looking forward to seeing this wine appear on the shelves of our favorite local retailers. In theory, and most of the time, with past tastings, I find the typical earthy, sappy flavors from Chile, really compliment Pinot Noir. Also, Concha y Toro has the resources and the commitment to bring us quality, tasty wine for the price. I am a little disappointed. True, the flavors are genuine Pinot with a Chilean accent, but, there is a general …
