Chateau de Villegeorge, Haut-Medoc

Very dark, almost black, red in colour. Fruit and cassis on the nose. First soft and and nice, then cassis and dark berries on the palate, turning to somewhat smoke and at the end violets. Good acidity and tannins in balance. Lacking some body though.

Very dark, almost black. Inviting and complex bouquet with a lot of cassis. Also cassis, bitterness and acidity in the taste. Although the wine is good as a whole, the bouquet is the best part of this wine.

Deep dark ruby. Expressive bouquet with cassis, liquorice, caramel and smoky. A large amount of tannin and acidity. Cassis in the taste as well. Good bitterness and a hint of sweetness. Firm and straight forward wine. (Tasting it blind I was very impressed by the youthfulness of this wine. My score is without taking this in consideration.) Seeing there is someone with another 12 bottles I hope to read a TN from that person(s?). I tasted this wine several times …
