From a 187, consumed over 1 hour. Appearance: Clear, medium-deep purple-ruby. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with aromas of boysenberry, blackberry, black pepper, violet, and Asian spice. Palate: Dry, medium acid, medium+ tannin, medium+ body, medium intensity, 13.5% abv with flavors of slightly under-ripe blackberry & boysenberry and Asian spice with a medium+ finish. Excellent SA Syrah showing nice complexity and length - tapers off a bit through the mid-palate but reappears in the back-end through the finish. Needs a few …

Lively and elegant, soft tannins, but at the same time juicy.

Very good structure, fruity, supported by acid. More red fruit, different from other Syrah. 7/10
