Flavors range between floral & fruity, plus a ton of damp earth with copious petroleum and salinity. Very interesting mix of textures too; from creamy to mildly acidic. I'm new to the world of Austrian Riesling so it takes time to adjust to the wide variety of lighter scents, but it's good to step outside of my usual lineup of big reds from around the world.

I found this wine to have a dual personality. The nose on this wine is classic Riesling. There are aromas such as petrol, white flowers, yellow apple, slate and honey. On the palate, the character is more like Grüner Veltliner. It is sour and bitter. There is a racy lime acidity and minerality. It paired well with kielbasa and potatoes. No surprise as these are closely related to Austrian cuisine.
