This is singing along nicely. Only medium body Opens up rich and confected, but with aeration displays some more complexity, brambly blue & red fruits, some sweet baking spices with just a hint of Szechuan pepper , cool site in a warm year thing happening.

Unctuous, cassis, dark spice on the nose. Eucalyptus, menthol, red and dark berry thick syrup nicely balanced acid and tannins... spicey, a little warmth but not obtrusive... just yum! Wish I had more!

Very impressive. Lovely fruit, plum and red berries, integrated wood, nice line if subtle acid and smooth tannins plus a dash of cool climate pepper. absolutely delicious. Went very well with a rare grilled rib eye steak. 93.

This wine continues to develop in the bottle and yet at 7 years of age it is still in a primary stage of development. The greenness of early youth has softened, the fruit (dark berries, red berries and a splash of plum) has integrated with the wood and the tight line of subtle acid. Soft tannins resulting in a delicious wine, excellent body and length with hints of black pepper and dark chocolate. Makes you want to keep going back …

Tasted blind at an Options night. Textbook cool climate Victorian Shiraz with slightly cordialled raspberry and freshening white pepper and fennel. Really over-delivers for its price point. Very fresh, so should have years to go, but it's gorgeous now so I'm not sure there's a benefit to waiting.

Appearance: deep inky black core with deep dark red hues Nose: wow, my olfactory is getting the tingles. Notes of blackberries, plum, with some earth & spices. Palate: a after letting it decant for 30 min, my first sip have a smile... Rich flavours of blackberries, liquorice, the tannins are abundant without being too astringent or bitter. Earthy notes and subtle spices ensue. Finish is long and juicy. Very well balanced wine and great value! Highly recommend

This is a dark, modestly fruit forward Shiraz with a plum nose and a quick finish. This is a "drink it if you have it but don't fall over yourself to get it" wine. Good news- I have a few more so I can comply!

Elegant but full flavoured. A great cool climate shriraz that is drinking beautifully (suspect at its peak). Fully integrated tannins after a 2hr decant, the bouquet has dark fruits but isn’t huge. The pallate is big but not flabby (like some warm climate shirazes can be) with just a tad of restraint evident to deliver a truely enjoyable wine. Although I love my big warm climate shirazes with a good dose of French oak, I truely appreciate the delicate (but …

Deep red colour. Bought at a restaurant 4 days ago. Have been sampling it since. Ripe blackberry fruit nose. Standing up very well after 4 days. Fairly reserved on first opening. Rich, black cherry/blackberry fruit. Quite ripe. 2019 was a hot year for them and this shows it. Holding the ripeness well. Nice balance.

Cool climate Shiraz. Not heavy or brooding at all, good balance and acidity, not overly complex but lovely and precise nonetheless. Prefer this to many entry Level Shiraz bottlings costing 2x as much. Drank at cellar temperature (55-60).

Wow, so under rated. Drink to 2008 changed as this is still drinking great in March 2021 because this was still so full of flavour and length amazing. Smooth balanced flavours. One of the best I’ve had in 12 months very good For an affordable wine, kept in a cellar, cork a bit crumbly so I recommend an Ah-so. Great wine

Beautifully fragrant wine with lifted notes of violets, black cherries, stewed plums and white pepper. Tannins are integrated, soft and silken, almost pinot-esque. Seamless length and restrained weight. Harmonious balance. Beautiful wine in its prime

Crimson red, medium body, lots of white pepper, red fruits, esp ripe cherries, almost pinot like ..juicy and lingering on the finish. Very cool climate style but manages to balance ripeness, sweetness, oak and spice very well. Delicious and reasonable abv as well. This has improved since last tasting a year ago...drink now or hold. Yum factor plus here

Bottled under Stelvin and interestingly, labelled for export to the UK. A good dark red colour. Nose shows mint and aged wood, but not oak. An intriguing, almost musty, old wood. No pepper and certainly nothing green or vegetative. Decent length, lovely and smooth on the mid pallet. Juicy and delicious but not overcooked. Requires a little decanting to expose the nice minty, woody secondary characters. Well worth it though. Very good effort for the price.

Med purple colour Nose dominated by blackberries, black olives, raspberries, coffee, set amongst a minerally and slightly herbaceous background. Deep and concentrated sweet and savoury core of raspberries, blackberries, olives, sweet spices, dried herbs with well integrated vanilllin oak. Med plus body, long length, smooth tannins, med plus acidity. A fantastic cool climate Shiraz that is more Syrah-like with the savoury dark fruits. Great intensity and depth of flavour. Will buy some more to cellar.

The Cliff Edge Shiraz has to be one of the most consistent labels i've tasted over the last few years, the wine punches well above it's price point and is my go to wine. The 2010 is a deep red in colour, it opens with a stalky plum laden nose with depth and savouriness that has a floral, almost pinot like elegance. A medium bodied palate with plum, a touch of blackberry and black pepper is supported by rounded oak, …

Didn't like this as much as the 2009. Whereas that was complex, balanced cool climate 'shiraz', this has moved into 'syrah' country. Black pepper and herbs season more briary, wild blackberries. Lots of structure, but just not as enjoyable upon release than the previous vintage. Not bad all the same, just not great (yet.)

The Cliff Edge has a rich dark nose of roasted coffee and aniseed. It is a big dark wine with strong tannins balanced well against dark berry and mocha flavours. It’s savoury and dark profile are enticing in youth but patient cellaring of 5 or more years will benefit this wine, adding to its complexity while the tannins soften. 94points + At Dan Murphy's for $22.79 this is an absolute bargain! 2012 Sydney Royal Wine Show - Trophy Wines lunch (Darling Harbour, Sydney) : Trophies – Best wine of Show, Best Red of Show, Best Shiraz {screwcap, 13.5%} Yet another anonymous semi-commercial offering that carries off all the silverware. I don’t know how the judges do it. A layer of youthful musk-like sweet aromatics overlay some blackcurrant fruit, but it really does remain quite confected. The palate is quite rich and sweetly-fruited, with gentle oak and a solid mid-palate, medium powdery …

Bought this after enjoying the '02 Billi Billi. For the extra $5 or so a bottle, this was a fantastic bottle. Front end peppers, tannins and earth give way to a great back end blast of dry berries. Great on the nose, as well. I'd buy again in a heartbeat.
