Was open blind alongside of 2020 Alban Viognier. From a lot of wine nerds, this packed in well ahead of the price point. Lots of people were guessing Roussanne, some Marsanne, but actually a fair amount of Viognier guesses as I would say this one definitely is true to variety especially when it comes to the finish. Clear, pale color. Super fruity nose that led others to think it is sweet. Not sweet! Very dry - 0.1% residual sugar! But so fruity it makes Blanc du Bois taste subdued. Nicely made and very pleasant overall. The fruit is polarizing. Some will love it, others not so much. Interesting to me more than appealing.
