Great value at 20 USD. Light to medium body in color with a garnet rim. Showing a bit of age in color. The group enjoyed this wine. Acidity has toned down a bit and you really get a good sense of herbs, leather and some orange peel. Drink now or within the next 2-3 years. Paired with garlic parm wings and pizza. Would buy again

Want to try a Chianti Classico, good red. Drink glass by glass from pressured bottle, did not really air the wine.

Light-medium clear garnet; nose-dried cherry/cranberry & herbs; palate-bright, juicy acidity provides a foursquare frame for focused, linear cherry fruit, maintaining freshness through medium finish.

Drank from a magnum. This was a very nice wine to drink with some Italian food I cooked up for a friend’s 60th. Earthy, warm and fairly traditional.

Good stuff and agree with others on upside. Very enjoyable now so don’t hesitate to open. At $20 worth a few more on the rack.

Strawberry and plum, bay leaf and violet on the nose. Rustic tannins at first, but the texture soon gets silkier. After some time, sweet cherry gradually emerges and takes up centre stage. Mineral finish, with orange zest and cherry skin also pushing through. Will be better in a couple of years, but drinks well already. Drink 2026 - 2031. 90+ points. On day 5, it hits all the right notes: cranberry, juicy cherry and bitter herbs à la good quality …

Solid Chianti but will definitely improve in another few years. Bright red fruit, a bit of orange peel and tobacco. Decent length, very enjoyable although slightly one dimensional and lacks complexity. Would like to buy more and see how this develops.

Elegant style but lacks a bit of intensity and length. Red fruit, something earthy and mineral. Nice nose. Palate has good acid and tannins are moderate to moderate plus, fairly approachable for a young Sangiovese. Just lacks some intensity on the mid/back palate.

Very good chianti at this price point. Classic red fruit flavors of strawberry and cherry. Has tomato, & herbal (thyme, potpourri) flavors. Also has some leather, clove, and cinnamon notes. Was better and smoother after 2-3 hours open in the bottle. Will probably be best 2025-30.

6 Chiantis over 6 days (Castiglion Fiorentino) : Here we have precision and freshness, and it is exactly why I like so much their wines. I dare to say, that latest vintages are way better than those 10y ago. Poised and so lively, very well shaped. Best on day 3 (92p), day 4- focused and précised, day 5 lavender and flowers came upfront and day6 slightly tired but yet very drinkable and joyful. 13.5%

Cherry fruit, sweet black cherry but with leafy herbal smells and a bit of iron too. Light to medium bodied, low tannin, high acid. Tangy fruit character in the mouth. Good length clean finish. A touch of cinnamon or clove too. Very good.

Every once in a while I'll encounter a wine where I just can't tell if it has the structure to improve or not. This seemed a bit muted overall, and didn't show any of the brooding tannicism (yeah I know, not a real word) I'd expect to improve. Might be in a dumb phase. Lighter in color than expected, with faint notes of black cherry and vacuum dust. Medium acidity. Modest finish. 88 now, but could be much higher down …

This was great, especially for the price. Just what we are after as it retains a great freshness to it so as not to become too heavy (or boring).

medium body. Typical sang flavor profile, made for red sauce pairing with slight acidity, subtle fruit medium tannins. Nothing special even for 20 bucks. Wine spectator top 100, over-rated at 93.

Bottle 4 of 4. Probably my favorite Chianti Classico for the price that is not Riserva or Gran Selezione. Previous notes still apply.

Wine Spectators #20 for 2021 and a very enjoyable and inexpensive Chianti Classico. I normally prefer the Riserva or Gran Selezione as the CC often has too much sour or tart cherry taste for my preference. Excellent balance, intensity of flavors and a good finish. Fresh, juicy red cherry, woodsy notes, violet, and Tuscan earth makes this a perfect daily wine with food.

Gift from my daughter - and a great gift. This offered a classic Chianti Classico taste, although perhaps less dry and smoky than I expected, perhaps due to its relative youth. Tasted very fresh. Badia is always a welcome Chianti.

I think this is in a closed phase, not giving as much as I’ve experienced with other vintages, will leave until properly into its drinking window.

Seriously, amazed by that quality for entry level Classico, ripe and not full, good acid and balanced. Smell of fruits and leaves, refined and vibrant. Very good wine, salivating. Loved it ! Coup de cœur…

HAd this the other night. Really good, but nowhere near ready. Everything is pretty hidden behind a wall of tannins and it was hard at first to tell what was behind it. Roasted meat and acidic braised cherries was all I could tell. I'm withholding a rating for now because it is too damn hard for me to tell what it is going to be. I hate it when I jump the gun.
