Still drinking well, if a bit on the decline, a bit of unexpected funk on the nose, well-integrated notes of chocolate and cherry throughout, lovely moderate-length finish and structure is holding up, but little to no further aging potential. Objective rating is more 88-89, but a bump up to 91 for stellar QPR -- my notes say this was a $12 bottle at purchase.

Medium ruby, medium body, aromas of mild black cherry, anise, dark chocolate mint, flavors of same + musty earth & mushroom funk, medium tannins & acid that soften after opening, chewable, medium/long finish; wow surprise! Out of sight qpr @$20. Wish I had more, and if could find it, I'd buy it.

A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red blend, with black cherry, blackberry, cassis and spices on finish. Not as good as last time tried. www.winelx.com

Wine Warehouse Spring Tasting, interesting Zinfandel blend, nose of cardboard, black cherry, and allspice, same on the palate, tasty, rich fruit, well blended, almost mouth filling fruit, and a long finish.

Blend of mostly Zin with PS and Barbera. Very uncertain about this - first sip was excellent, but later seemed too sharp. On day 2, I left it stoppered except when pouring and it seemed pretty good. Even ok on day 3. so is indeterminate.

from a friend; interesting but rustic, even for the pizza. I picked up another bottle.

An attractive, bid-bodied blend the includes Petite Sirah for substance and Barbera for a little rusticity. Mouth-filling black fruit; should have unusually good longevity.

Pine, fruitcake, Red fruits, orange family...maybe tangerine, peach pith, palate is plush & juicy, good acid balance...maybe a tad high, but enjoyable wine.

Some petite and some barbera and named after the guy who has been making it for 30 years. Or been with them for 30 years. And a surprise that he was making it.

Ripe fruit and some rye and bramble and on day two and smelling so much better than yesterday. With some structure, and a bit hard edge and spicy on the back but that may be the day two showing off.

Smells like rye bread. Raspberry, bramble, and then toasty rye bread. To me. Over at $ 21 or so, but here it is.
