Vino con mano enologica marcata: molto fruttato, speziato, con sensazioni di lampone, mirtillo, spezie dolci. Intervento tecnico evidente, meno territoriale. Più morbido, con note di grafite e frutta sciropposa. Prezzo: ~90–100 €. Château Rolland-Maillet (“Château Rolland B.”) Michel Rolland Médoc (generico, senza appellazione comunale) 2020 ~50% Merlot, resto Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot (percentuali non dichiarate) ~13.5%

Round, lush, black cherry and chocolate filled wine that is medium-bodied, earthy, fresh, vibrant, easy-to-like wine and finishes with a blast of chocolate coated re fruits and espresso beans. Produced from blending 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, this is going to be good to go on release. Drink from 2023-2033.

Soft, silky, fresh and polished, this medium-bodied, vibrant, easy-to-like wine is packed with black and red fruits, licorice, spice and espresso on the mid-palate and in the finish. 90-92 Pts

Beautiful graphite, leather, and deep fruits. Incredibly balanced. Wish I had more

Still some nice fruit particularly on the nose; the palate shows a pleasant woodsy note but a strong mineral taste as well. Medium to light body and still drinking nicely

Textbook mid level bordeaux. Graphite, touch of iron minerality, savory cassis and cedar notes. Drink in the near term.

(home tasting) The color is somehow "pale" cherry-like with pink hues. The nose is very fruity with cherries and berries and some vanilla too. In the mouth is equally fruity and some sweet spices too. The tannins are round and velvety with the only drawback being the alcohol (14%). The aftertaste is rather sweet and medium length. This is quite a pleasant wine that is already approachable. It needs about 30 min of decanting and will be good for the …

Clean ruby red in colour, it appears very restrained on the nose with the fruit of dark berries supported by a little tar, species (cinnamon), lavender and a vegatal touch. The palate is also restrained and austere though the wood is already very much unnoticeable. Shy on the acidity and tannins on the side of finesse...medium finish and a bit left bank in profile. Abandon it for at least 6 years.
