{screwcap, 14.5%} Vivid ruby. Rich nose of raspberry fruit, plum, but also some savoury quality -it’s 55% Hunter after all. The palat is medium weight, with finely gritty dusty tannins, medium acid, medium weight, but a fairly simple finish, without much depth or length on the palate, as befitting its modest $20ish price tag. Ok wine for unthinking drinking. A few cellaring years won’t hurt, but I wouldn’t expect actual improvement.

Easy drinking - great with flavourful food

Hunter Valley 2019 Trip; 3/8/2019-3/9/2019 : 55% Hunter Shiraz, 45% Mclaren Vale Shiraz. Violets, plum, some earth and blackcurrant. Black fruited palate, medium length - good value at $25.

Hunter Valley 2016 Trip #1 (Hunter Valley, Australia) : Raspberry, black cherry and some earth. Fruit driven with some tannins supporting. Has a decent fullness to the fruit without losing its sense of balance.
