Sunday Brown Bag Tasting: Malbec (current releases) (Augie's) : Opens with a smoky, flinty aroma that dissipates quickly, leaving notes of citrus, grapefruit and gress. Turns to green pepper and jalapeno. Bright acidity; focused. Grapefruit, lemon and grassy notes with a nice finish. Easily identified as Sauvignon Blanc, but I do not recall anyone guessing S. American.
