The nose is definitely on the sweet side, blackberry and mocha with a hint of pepper; fresh and supple palate, not too thin but the flavours are quite light for a wine which weighs in at 14% ABV; slightly resinous oak on the finish, hints of cream and vanilla. A basic Shiraz, but an adequate foil for pepperoni pizza.
