This wine has aged beautifully over the past 21 years. It is smooth and drinkable without any grip, without feeling dead at this stage. Dried fruits, aged/smoked meats, a bit of earth and tanned leather. Naturally a great match with meat (Brazilian).

Dark red, paling edge. Open bq w blackberries, smoke, minerals, chocolate. Medium body w ripe tannins, balanced acidity, still good fruit content (black cherries). Medium aftertaste w some alcohol, fruit, good balance. Just past its peak, but very enjoyable.

This is drinking really well. Still has years to go. The nose was vibrant. Flavors of dark fruit dominate.

No formal notes. A simple, modern, juicy wine with low acidity and some spices. Some tartness knocks it down a little but should still improve for a few years. Still a super drink now! Would be happy to have a case of that!

Good. Nice dark red fruit & body, with some roasted herb tones, but a little heat showed through on the finish. Went well with grilled meat but I'd drink up

Needed 60 minutes of air. Fresher and more lively than expected given the vintage. Not too heavy. Good bottle for the price.

Great wine with lamb. Smoky and some tannin. Smoother and some sweetness after breathing

After an hour of the bottle being opened, not properly decanted and this is the last glass so it has a little bit of silt in it. A dark purple brew. Nose of very ripe black plums and sweet cherries, menthol. A mouth coating wine which when swirled around the mouth and aerated reveals more dark fruit, with a hint of garrigue and wood. Low acidity. Well constructed wine but too bombastic for my taste. Because it is well crafted, …

Pretty. Red berry and plums, spices, earthy minerality, shortish finish. Maybe fading a bit.

Nose and palate are both pretty restrained. Dusty red berry fruit on the nose and on the attack, then both red berry and plum tastes, hints of mineral and earth spice. Finish lingers pleasantly.

Dark garnet. Nose of dusty earth, leather, dark fruit, and a little menthol. Ripe palate of cherry, blackberry, plum, spice, and minerals. Very good length. Pleasant acidity. Supple tannins.

Very nice , fairly rustic med to full bodied with uncomplicated dark fruit, garrigue and leather. Certainly not a wine to contemplate but quite enjoyable none-the-less. Needed a good 3 hours in the decanter to open. On a side note, I personally fiind it abit disconcerting that the price point for just a "nice" bottle of wine keeps getting higher and higher.

Was good and straightforward but a little simple. Not sure how much more this will improve though .. didn't seem to have the stuffing for the long term.

No formal notes - Very fruit forward, maybe a bit too extracted, lots of dark fruit on the palate, integrated tannins and low acidity. Lacking overall freshness.

WOTN. This was amazing once again. It needs a couple of hours, but really starts to sing after a bit of air time. Amazing nose right out of the bottle. Ripe plum and dark berry on the palate. I love this wine and wish I had bought more.

Grenache Tasting at Dan's (Chez Dan) : Dark purple color. Slightly off-putting, chemically/pickle nose, with some plum aromas. Dark fruit palate, but lacking some depth, not a lot going on. Tannin is a bit coarse. Finsishes oaky. Needs time. Unexciting.

Wow! Thank you to whom ever it was that told me to buy this. Deep purple in color. Powerful nose with hints of ripe plums and hints of leather. Really smooth and ripe red fruits on the palate. Like really ripe bing cherry. Medium finish. Very nice wine.

Very interesting. Tarry up front with minerality and spice then some red fruit emerges and then fades as tea, mineral, and spice take over on the finish. Mouthwatering acidity. Outstanding.

Mighty tasty. Some dark fruit that is quite rich on the palate. Taste is more dominated by tea and earth spices, some hints of black pepper. Smooth.

Needed nearly 3 hours in the decanter to resolve the aggressive tannins but then opened to a nice, fairly rustic cdr w/ plenty of dark berry, leather and garrigue. Not a whole lot of depth, but quite enjoyable nonetheless.

Very tannic still. Needs a lot of ageing. Not as immediate as say Santa Duc or Cayron
