100% organically farmed Pinot Noir from parcels in Volnay and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Vinified in whole bunches, fermented spontaneously, macerated for 2 weeks with the skins. Aged in oak barrels, according to some sources, or egg-shaped concrete tanks, according to others. Bottled unfined, unfiltered and without any sulfites. 12,5% alcohol. Hazy and somewhat murky plummy-red color with a slightly maroon hue. The nose feels quite wild and somewhat lifted with aromas of ripe raspberries, some forest floor, a little bit of spicy …

Brett ladened wine. Shows promise with bright red fruit, acid is high, gravelly and powdery tannin. The prey unfortunately makes the wine seem nothing more than a drink without thinking kind of wine.

Oh my. So fresh, so lively, so smooth, so juicy, tasty, quaffable. We loved it. Deserves the hype! Kudos!

Very nice red burgundy. Key thing to remember is that this is quite reductive and very funky right when opening. If you leave it for a bit, it opens up to show crunchier and report fruit, and the gentle touch fo VA makes more sense in the context of ripe fruit. I'm going to keep my last two for a while and see where it takes them.

A private dinner (Restaurant De School, Amsterdam, NL) : Slightly stalky nose, “pur jus” on the fresh and energetic palate, roses and peach and cherries and violets, tight finish, good length.
