Classic jura red. Dark ruby color. Some reduction on opening, as well as some va that blows off. The tannins were pretty grippy, even by day 3. On the nose, wild berries and red fruit. Some herbs. There's some depth here, and a few tertiary flavors (leather and cocoa). On the palate, lots of mineral freshness that gives it that jura character. Reminded me quite a bit of the Tissot DD cuvee (although I think I prefer the tissot slightly)

Delicious. Fresh juicy red fruit, mint. Tastes of some black fruit come through on the tail end of taste

Very tasty; not as clean as the Ganevat, but bright and fun. Great for the right audience, but lacks some seriousness on the palate.

Wow. Bright lively red fruit, slight natty funk, tasty with great acidity and texture/mouth feel. Delicious stuff. Drank next to the 2018 GV, and this is the btl to drink now, while the GV can benefit from some bottle age.

A bit of VA in there but otherwise quite charming stuff.

Have not met a Gahier I didn't enjoy. Blue fruit, sour cherryies, with a smokiness on the nose. Palate is really balanced with a slight funk on the finish. Again an easy drinker with sufficient complexity.

Wine 2 of blind. A ton of barynard on the nose made this tough to call for most people, though everyone generally went northern rhone. The Brett made this less fun than my prior bottle. No great wines, etc.

Mostly savory aromas: pepper, violets and "stemmy". On the palate, a lot more fruit than you would expect, primarily dark cherry. Structurally balanced with good acidity and tannins. Wine will benefit from another 2 to 5 years of aging.

A great red for outside summer drinking (especially after the many bottles consumed that night). It's not especially complex, and the acidity probably sticks out a touch on the finish (which isn't overly long), but there's some some lovely fruit on the nose and the palate which is very classical and it goes down very easy. Delicious.

nose - fresh, berry jam mouth - extremely juicy. lively, very mild VA but in an exciting way, finishes with a hint of white pepper. WOTN.
