Giant Wine Sale & Tasting 4/21/2012 (Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC) : This is pretty typical for a Lodi Zin. Has a quick attack of big plum and blueberry fruit, both on the nose, and the palate. The big fruit is still very easy on the palate, not the wild stuff. We don't expect, or get a bunch of tannins. Just enough acid to keep things interesting. I'm a rookie at this... On the nose black cherry seemed the predominate aroma. On tasting I got paper, a hint of vanilla . Medium body that leaves some tang on the tongue (must be acid) cause I get virtually no tanins. Having this with pasta tonight.
