Andre Beaufort Champagne Grand Cru Polisy Brut Réserve Rosé

내추럴 와인에서 꽤나 강조하니 비오디나미 농법으로 키웠다는 샴페인. 이 설명을 꽤나 긴 시간을 들어서 그런지 괜히 코에서도 내추럴 와인의 쿰쿰한 냄새가 난다. 입에서는 기포가 거의 사라진 스틸 와인같은 느낌임에도 산도가 꽤나 살아있어서 음식과 괜찮았다.

DG 12/2017 Typically 'medicinal' Beaufort nose, almost like a cough syrup with strong herbal aromas, especially eucalyptus and some liquorice; very ripe fruits, plums, blueberries, cherries, mango, coconut, apples, pears, also baked fruit tart, spiced, honey, beef broth, oxidative, sherry wine and a hint of sherry vinegar. Very dense and powerful mouthfeel, moderate acidity. Obviously from a hot vintage and a robust terroir, the wine is very intense and thick, almost heavy. Drink now! 91pt

Dorato chiaro, fine perlage. Naso sontuoso, con i profili di frutta tropicale e fragola del PN ad emergere, assieme a zucchero a velo, zenzero candito, begamotto, anice. Avvolgente, fresco, di grande opulenza ma equilibrato. Lungo finale che richiama ancora agrume, anice e zenzero

A good effort for this vintage. The wine seemed a little advanced and slightly over the hill. It was still pretty fruity and floral but had lost some of it's edge. The palate was slightly flabby and the structure somewhat compromised. It would perhaps be enjoyed a few years earlier.
