Dark red. Chocolate. Some herbs? Some dried fruit. Wood is well integrated. Full bodied but not fat at all neither juicy. Ripe tannins. Still some years to go. Serious wine at a very good spot.

Wine with an intense ruby color, the chromatic mass is dense and slightly veils the glass. The nose is of beautiful intensity, with fruity notes of plum, berries, hints of underbrush and cinnamon, along with sweet tobacco and precious wood. super nice berried embedded in fresh wood. perfect acid / berry balance. supwr young but showing its potential. easy to cosume now but can be hold back for sure for about a decade. much better price value than many tuscans! strong buy for everyday use

Reminds me why I am not a huge fan of Montepulciano. There is body and structure and tannic presence but unfortunately the flavour profile does not support the strength that this wine has. Drink Now.

Weekly tasting group #120; A mixed set of wines (@ WW) : The wine clearly has developed since last year. The nose gives the impression of sitting beside the BBQ. Gunpowder, tobacco and dark berry fruits as well. Same on the palate. Dark fruits. Good concentration. I like this wine. Bought a few of other vintages for $20 and that is a good qpr IMO.

Weekly tasting group #057; The influence of oak. (@ WW) : Although the color shows a slightly garnet rim, the bouquet is still a bit reticent with dark fruits. On the palate very soft and smooth with dark fruits, sweet spices, chocolate and a firm dose of oak, some sweetness and soft acidity and tannin. Medium plus length. Overall a good wine. Wait until 2014, but not for the really long run.

Nez sur les bonbons aux cerises, l'anis et un peu de tabac. En bouche, de beaux tannins soyeux et fins avec une fruit noir un peu en retrait avec une finale sur des relents de poussière. Bien!

Tomato skin, dark plum, black cherry and cocoa nib nose. There is definitely some complexity going on. I found the palate to have less depth than the nose but still enjoyable: cinnamon stick spice, more black cherry and bittersweet chocolate with medium rip tannins and palate cleansing acidity that stays for a minute. Only produced in ideal vintages, this is the 20th harvest of Cúmaro. I would like to revisit this bottle a year from now and try future vintages …

Good but not more. It showes cherries, oak and milk chocolate. The mouth feel is medium bodied, austere with a nice acidity and some heat in the finish.

Nez de fruits noirs murs, qui rappelle les vins italiens de cabernet. La bouche est dense, suave, avec des tanins policés. Style moderne, très agréable.
