Laurent Perrier, Brut Millesime

I believe 2022 dg…charming wine with some aged good funk of Pinot skin, raspberry tarts…bright and racy blood orange tingly acids…dried roses and red licorice…very engaging dry candied fruits finish…long savory finish. Love this!

Monthly Tasting Group: Pinots from Anywhere (Ciao Bella, Mpls) : Just got a couple of ml's of this, but it was enough to remind me how much I love this bottle. On fire. Such purity, class and elegance. The king stands alone.

Lovely fruity rosé champagne. Maybe it’s not super elegant but it does have great flavour and balance. This bottle (3 years old) showed pronounced cherry, raspberry, cranberry and orange fruit with rounded acidity.

As always, drinking superb! On any given night, my favorite rose' of champagne ... anywhere. Its refractory magenta color alone bodes well. Stellar, balance, depth and intensity. Got to make sure I keep my OH to at least 3 btls at all times. Vilmart's Cuvee Rubis is a nice runner up but this has an extra gear.

Prior bottle was only 3 months ago and this wine continues to drink quite well. Red cherry, strawberry, mineral, lightly tart citrus as well as toast notes on the nose. Consistent with previous notes: green apple, pear, chalk, brioche, faint honeysuckle. Zippy acidity. Pleasant and light. Reliable and refreshing. Not as much of a lime pith note this time.

"High end" Pinot Noir (Amy and Scott's) : This is the 4th of 6 bottles I purchased, and they seem to be getting toastier with age. Light strawberry persists and there is a pleasant freshness.

$50 plus Domestic Pinot Noir Tasting (Scott and Amy's House Twin Cities) : Glasvin Champagne Stem. Very nice offering with strawberries, chalk, spice, rose petals and minerals. Found this good but had a bit too much chalk for my palate. Medium finish.

Tasted in a line up of ten champagnes from 2012. Amazing value for money. Incredibly precise, backed up by the beautiful fruit that 2012 is so well known for. Well within its drinking window, but will go on for several years.

Perfect bottle with Nashville Hot Chicken. Strawberries, raspberries and soft cream with fleeting mousse and nice acidity.

Brought this wine to a University mate's place for our CNY reunion lunch. Gold in colour with notes of salinity, toast, sur lie, and minerality. Captivating freshness balanced with a well-built structure. One of the better house cuvee from one of the big brand Champagnes out there.

Wasn't wowed by this but I bet it was because it was 5 years past. It's drinking Prime. Given that I'd say it was pretty good.

Wonderful freshness, fruity nose. Intense bouquet of strawberries, raspberries, cherries. Excellent balance, long and delicate finish.

Deep pink hue. Complex, sweet and savory bouquet of cherry, citrus, and brioche. More citrus and minerals on the palate. Clean and lean on the finish with hints of red fruit. 100% Grand Cru Pinot Noir.

What would Valentine's Day be without a pink Champagne? So... Like a couple of our previous bottles, this bottle was disgorged in the 1st quarter of 2021 based on the A12 printed on the neck of the cork. We let this bottle slo-ox for about 20 minutes which "calmed" the wine. A very solid go to rose when rose is in order but budget is limited. Will. Are the impact one wants, soft confectionery but also crowd pleasing and ever so welcoming. Solid 89-90

Excellent for lunch

A fresh, crisp champagne with predominately citrus and apple flavors and a hint of brioche. Some creaminess and fine bubbles. A safe choice if trying to please a crowd. A step above the NV cuvee but quite a step down from Grand Siecle, though much less expensive. A nice champagne, though in this price category I prefer others, such as Agrapart.

UA Polaris offering, both on the ground and in-flight. Clean and crisp, fine, light effervescence cleanses the palate with donut peaches and straw on the finish. Quite nice.

Aromatic, with notes of red fruits, pomegranate and spices. Medium-bodied on the palate, with a frothy mousse and concentrated fruit, lifted by vibrant acidity. Long, fresh finish.

Excellent aperitif with Manchego and Triscuits prior to Ina Garten's Tricolore Salad with Oranges to start, followed by her Chicken Marbella served with Celery Root and Chickpea Purée.

A crowed pleaser. Fine mousse, decent nose with strawberry, raspberry and brioche, on the palate very harmonious with well integrated "dosage", good freshness and length, 91+.

This was delicious - the sweet spot between steely acid and rich, sumptuous brioche. Balanced and ready to drink - I like :)

One of our favorite champagnes. Very colorful pink/cherry color and a nose similar to baking bread with strawberry highlights. The flavor is full, strawberry with hint of cherry and definite minerality. Very flavorful with a long finish. Very enjoyable.

Very dry and easy to drink a bottle. Good with fatty foods but doesn’t go well with crab or shrimp or leaner proteins. If you like dry champagne this is for you. If you like Prosecco type fizz, not so much.

Christmas 2025; 12/24/2025-12/26/2025 (Bosham, E Dulwich, Muswell Hill) : Sharp like a Granny Smith, and seemed barely ready. Crisp, racy and bracing - there's some finesse here, but a hell of a lot more acidity. A nice pick-me-up for Christmas morning!

2012 vintage

Prior bottle was only a month ago so my notes were essentially unchanged. Mix of pretty strawberry, brighter, deeper cherry and nice minerality on the nose. Medium bodied with the same mix of red cherry, deeper red cherry and brighter strawberry. Shows tart red cherry and watermelon to the back. This bottle showed excellent tartness and acidity which worked quite well with the mid-body fruit. Nicely balanced, but with plenty of zip. Next bottle for me will be New Years.

I like this Champagne--apparently so much that I just realized that I forget to write notes on it (last one 4/8/25, though I've had a few bottles since). Opened for a Christmas Eve aperitif. Lemon, pear, brioche, chalk on the nose and palate. Crisp, clean, and light. Though I haven't tasted them side-by-side, this is currently in the rotation with Roederer NV and Pol Roger NV. The Roederer is a little rounder, with the L-P more elegant.

Lovely long matured bottle . I see I bought them in 2018 - rounded and delicious.
