Wonderful aroma with fruit on the beginning with complexity and length of finish. Glad we have 3 more bottles.

Very good stuff. Clean and refined flavors based on a decent amount of fruit forwardness on the onset with earth, mineral and bramble leaving a long finish. Copious sediment but easy enough to decant out.

This is ripe, aromatic, hedonistic, but also complex and savory. Mike Talty is one of the masters of Zin and, even in a difficult vintage, he puts out top-notch wines. More burgundian than most Zins, with the wild aromatics, it still speaks of sunshine and that American openness. There are brambly flavors of blackberries and raspberries close to the vine, a touch of leafiness, some secondary character already coming through. Nice use of oak to coax out clove and cinnamon …
