Domaine Servin, Chablis Premier Cru, Montee de Tonnerre

Dang, that's delish! Medium pale to medium gold. Talc and chalk on the nose, wafts of Meyer lemon. Ripe, loads of fruit, even comes across on first sip as having some RS...definitely a crowd-pleaser, not your Grandmas 1er Cru Chablis! Even if not exactly classic, it is definitely tasty. Lowish in acidity, I wouldn't cellar these much longer. Yum

Opened 3hrs prior to dinner & slo-oxed in btl / glass. Light gold w/ hints of green in color. This has resolved nicely since my first btl 3yrs ago to the day. Lots of tide pool & mineral on the nose. Palate shows impressive intensity & concentration w/ mouthcoating minerality along w/ plenty lemon, apple, pear, spice & other harmonics. Pale gold in color. Opens with notes of orchard fruit and lime zest, transitioning to notes of honeycomb, herbs and salinity. On the sweeter side, but with good acid to balance on the back end. 12.5% ABV. Well done.

A quite shy nose, but nice lemon and minerality. Fresh and tasty in a medium to full bodied package, with a lot of stone and nice acidity in the finish. With air theres a lot of power here, but not on the elegant side in context of burgundy. Very nice, but keep it cool.

Pours slightly golden. The nose is honeyed with kumquat, orange curd, vanilla, lime zest, and a slate-y flint-y minerality. Nearly full bodied, it's round and plush with juicy acid. Flavors include sweet orange, cantaloupe, gooseberry, lemon-lime, almond, and a bit of salinity. A very nice chardonnay, it doesn't scream Chablis, let alone Montée do Tonnerre. This seems to evolving quickly, I wouldn't sit on these for more than a few years.

Medium pale to medium gold. Muted nose, some leesy roast lemon. Lovely on the palate, really explodes and spreads, with quite electric acidity, unexpected for the warm year. Loads of fruit but also a saline minerality, not chalky, but tactile. Great long finish. Very fine indeed.

The previous reviewer of this wine really has it down in terms of the wine's profile and even better than I can describe it. Lots of delicious ripe stone fruit (peaches), a hint of sweet citrus, some minerality and light on the nuttiness or salinity. Faint citrus and white peach on the nose, with more white peach, light tropical fruits, mineral and some spice on the palate. Finishes with lemon and good acidity. I found this to be less easily identifiable as Chablis than my first few bottles, with more of a rounded, slightly tropical character. Regardless, a very tasty wine.

Decanted an hours before drinking. Medium body, dry, medium/high acidity. Oak and minerals on the nose, some grapefruit. Very nice balanced oils, citrus and minerals on the palette. Also a small hint of anis.

My first of 3. A very cool green tinged gold color. Lots of tide pool & mineral on the nose. Really impressive intensity and concentration on the palate! Mouthcoating powdered stone dominates the flavors but there is plenty of lemon, apple, pear, spice and other harmonics on the palate. Some may find this slightly dry & tart but I loved it.
