Odette Dinner (Singapore) : Oxidised notes (walnut, coffee, subtle butterscotch), supported by fruit development (dried banana) and bottle age (honey). The finish has a medium(+) length and shows oak (vanilla) and autolytic characters (biscuit). This wine is very tertiary, but very delicious.

Pale golden with flecks of green. Nose of mango, lemon peel, and tropical fruit. This was better than the first bottle. Soft on the palate with more tropical fruit, apricot, fruit, a bit more body than the previous bottle. On the finish there was a bit of pepper and heat. Looking forward to what the future bottles hold.

K&L Rhone Tasting (K&L Hollywood) : Beautiful nose with pure sweet peach. Great density and very rich with loads of mint and extraction. A touch bitter and some heat on the peppery finish. Seems like it needs a few years to soften...

Oxidized nose, improved over time with some pear and waxy honey notes but overall a disappointment. 86 points.

Gold with a hint of amber, with a pale rim. Honeyed nose with oatmeal but also a hint of sherry. Somewhat savoury/honeyed on the palate, but with decent acidity. Interesting and a useful match for robust food, but definitely a niche style.

Quite dark yellow color. Pineapple/honey nose. Rich palate with rosted nuts. Short finish.

Dark gold in color with aromas of honey, nuts, mineral and a touch of spice. Round and rich on the palate, but seems past its prime. I'd recommend drinking up.

Double decanted; closed, but from the depths aromas emerge of bacon, granite, flowers, Turkish delight, acacia honey; ripe, powerful, low acidity, firm bitters, velvety, intense and concentrated. Drink 2015 - 2025
